I love fries! I am not ashamed to admit that. The thing is, I don't enjoy making them at home because who wants to deal with the soaking and double frying. Yes, sometimes on the weekend I would, but on a busy weeknight, ain't nobody got time fo that! So, through some trial an error, I came up with these oven fries that are so yummy!
Hand-Cut Oven Fries:
*Prep Time: 5 min. *Cook Time: 30 min. *Difficulty: Easy *Servings: 4-6
Here is what you will need:
- 3 large baking potatoes
- Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper
Tools you will need:
- Chef's Knife
- Bowl
- Foil
- Baking Sheet
Firstly, slice your potatoes in disks, lengthwise.
Then into matchsticks.
You will want to be sure that the size of your matchsticks are even so that your fries bake evenly.
Put your fries in a bowl and add your oil...
Salt and Pepper...
And toss.
Now you will want to line your baking sheet with foil and spray with nonstick spray. This will make for easy clean-up.
Place your fries in a single layer on your baking sheet and...
Put them in a 450 degree oven for 30 minutes.
Look at how beautiful and golden brown they are! You will want to add a little salt after you pull them out of the oven.
YUM! These pair nicely with my homemade chicken nuggets found on the link below.
These are quick, easy, and perfect for a weeknight! I hope you enjoy them and, as always...
